Dr. Isabeau De Bie - Targeting noradrenergic pathways to protect the juvenile brain against radiation-induced damage

Yesterday Dr. Isabeau De Bie defended her thesis “Targeting noradrenergic pathways to protect the juvenile brain against radiation-induced damage”.

A work that not only advances our understanding of the neurobiological mechanisms driving cognitive decline after cranial irradiation but also identifies a promosing therapeutic avenue to preserve long-term cognitive function. This work was a collaboration between UGent and SCK CEN and hopefully will lead to more interesting projects together in the future. - Dr. Isabeau De Bie
